Fusionparties can add an element of fun to any home party and special occasion. Fancy dress parties are great fun to organise but to be the best host you need to consider a few things first:
It needs to be planned well in advance, who are you going to invite and are they up for getting dressed up. Do the FRAN list - Friends, Relatives, Associates and Neighbors.. (so they can't complain)
Don't forget though not everyone likes dressing up so invite more than necessary to allow for drop outs. Where are you holding the party? Home? Garden? Village Hall etc.. remember parking maybe an issue so make sure neighbors are happy with more vehicles on the road if you are having it at home. If in the garden remember the weather (especially in the UK) a gazebo maybe an option.
Decide a theme... make sure you put on the invite the theme idea and send out well in advance so people can get their outfits sorted. Simple themes are colours e.g RED - everyone has to wear something red. A great idea and easy to do if there aren't too many people coming is the rubiks cube theme. There are six colours so 6 or 12 people etc..wear just one of the colours then throughout the night they have to swap with people to get the six colours. eg hat red, shirt blue, trousers, green etc. Until everyone has all six colours on. Really good fun.
You can do the catering and drinks themed to the party too. You can buy inflatable drinks coolers in themes plus novelty cake, jelly and ice makers.
